D5: Introduction to Online Mapping
Let's look at aerial photography online using three different methods:
- Google Earth
- Google Maps
- Our own Google Maps mash-up (below)
Play around with each of these tools.
- Can you figure out how to zoom in & zoom out?
- Can you figure out how to move around (pan)?
- Can you find Fairmont Heights HS? Your house?
Instructions
Click on the map to create a marker;
Click on a marker to move it or find its position;
Right-click on the map to show or hide the axes.
