Beyond. Our Senses?
The most common concept of the fourth dimension is time, which, when combined with the three spatial dimensions (length, width, and height), creates spacetime. In this framework, an "event" is described by four coordinates: a location in space and a point in time. A purely spatial fourth dimension is also theorized in geometry and physics, which is difficult to visualize but can be understood through mathematical models and analogies, like a four-dimensional cube called a tesseract.
Reforming the Slices. Is It Still a Shape?
Similar to 2D slices of 3D objects, when a 4D object moves through our 3D world, we only perceive the 3D parts of it that are in our space at any given moment. What we see is a 3D cross-section or "shadow" that changes over time, with the change in the 4th dimension creating the illusion of a 3D object forming and transforming.
