ITEC 231 - Fundamentals of Web Technologies

This course covers web systems and technologies. It addresses the fundamentals of design, implementation, and evaluation of web-based applications including related software, databases, interfaces, and digital media executing on client systems. Social, ethical, and security issues related to web-based systems are also explored.
Course Prerequisites: CIS 211 and COSC 236

ITEC 315 - Data and Information Management

This course is designed to give students a solid foundation in practical database design and implementation. The course provides in-depth coverage of database design, demonstrating that the key to successful database implementation is in proper design of databases to fit within a larger strategic view of the data environment. With a strong hands-on component that includes real-world examples and exercises, this course will help students develop database design skills that have valuable and meaningful application in the real world.
