The Range of Vkei Music
Visual Kei Music is a product of many influences and subcultures, and is ultimately an extremely 80's movement. Music can vary from more romantic, symphonic undertones to classic rock or metal.
While some Visual Kei artists continue to make music to this day, -such as The Gazette or Dir en Grey- and new groups emerge claiming themselves to be of the Vkei genre, many within the subculture would consider the music itself to have started and ended from the 80's to mid 2000's at the latest. Thus, collecting physical media is one aspect that brings many vkei community members and fans together.
