Roa is a graffiti artist born in 1976 in Ghent, Belgium. While Roa's murals are widely known around the world, very little is known about the artist himself. He always hides his identity in every picture he takes. However Roa intially wanted to become a archaeologist at a very young age. He would collect skulls of small animals as a kid and draw them at home. Roa grew up in the 80's and is heaviliy infulenced by the American Pop Culture of that time period. Roa mainly paints animals. He likes to specifically paint the exo skeleton of the animal first. Then he will begin to add the internal organs, followed by the outer layer of skin. His work is very unique and the level of detail in each piece adds a sense of realism.
