Lady Pink







Lady Pink is a Ecuadorian- American graffiti and mural artist. She was born in Ecuador in 1964 but moved to Queens, New York that same year. Orginally Lady Pink wanted to be a architect just like her father, but she decided to be a graffiti artist instead. She started writing graffiti in 1979. and was highly acknowledged by the art community. She was considered one of the only female graffiti artisits capable of competing with the boys in the Graffiti subculture. She would go on to paint subways from the years 1979-1985. Lady Pink would later on go on to star in the movie "Wild Style". Lady Pink is considered a well respected Graffitti artist today. Her contributions helped shape the Graffiti subculture into what it is today.
