Based off of the process colors used to accomplish any color, CMYK strives to shine a spotlight on fine art printing whether it be lost printing techniques, modern styles, new mediums--we want to see it!
Printng is used everyday; but less and less with technology advancing daily. While the need is declining, the artform is flourishing. Without as much time focused on fulfilling commissions, artists have more time overall to refine the medium further.
It's a cycle that's happened before, and it is still happening as history goes on. We want to help showcase these new and experimental printforms.
We are currently located and have other galleries in the Museum of Modern Art in New York, but we have Pop-Up galleries all up and down the east coast.
Our goal is to help cities and packed populations remember the little things in life and create a space to help break away from the chaos of the city. Specifically, "Stop and Smell the Process Ink" is curated to highlight the peaceful side of the city and the things that we can find in our everyday life.
We strive to make every individual feel safe and comfortable in each gallery, reflecting the tone of each.
