The Salem Witch Trials

In colonial Massachusetts, the Salem witch trials took place between February 1692 and May 1693 and involved a number of hearings and prosecutions of those suspected of practicing witchcraft. Over 200 individuals were charged. Nineteen of those thirty were hanged after being found guilty.
