Directions and Parking

Gettysburg College is located in Gettysburg Pennsylvania, approximately an hour northwest of Baltimore, two hours west of Philadelphia.

The closest and most convenient airports are Harrisburg International Airport (a 45-minute drive) and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (a 75-minute drive).

We did not reserve a block of rooms at any hotel because there are many options in the Gettysburg area and it is not tourist season. You might be able to find better rates by shopping around, but two hotels we recommend for their convenience are:

  • The Gettysburg Hotel is just two blocks from campus and right in the heart of town. (Currently $117/night)
  • The Best Western Gettysburg is a newly renovated hotel one mile from campus and surrounded by restaurants. (Currently $88/night)

Parking on campus is plentiful and free on weekends. Your best bet will be to park in the Constitution Lot. Talks will be held in the Science Center building (labeled #15 on the map). A campus map can be found here.

MASON is dedicated to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, nationality, race, political beliefs, veteran status, age or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Conference participants violating these rules may be asked to leave the conference at the discretion of the conference organizers. If you are the victim of harassment or witness any form of harassment during the conference or associated events, please contact one of the conference organizers immediately.
