Hi everyone, my name is Kenzie Turpin and here's a little about me!

I am a Junior at Towson studying Art and Design with a minor in Applied Adult Disabilities Studies. I hope to one day pursue a career in interior designing or decorating. I am also interested in potentially getting my real estate license! I am originally from Glen Burnie, Maryland but am living off campus in Towson with three of my best friends. I am a sorority at Towson, Zeta Tau Alpha, which I devote much of my time to. I was in competitive cheerleading for over ten years. While cheer was prominent for most of my life, I stopped while in high school to explore other sports and hobbies. I took part on the swim and field hockey teams as well as helped out with the unified bocee team!

I am primarily interested in interior designing and decorating because of my fascination for furniture, home decor, and just making a house feel like a home. While I don't have any professional experience in the field yet, I have helped many friends and family decorate their homes. I recently went viral on TikTok because of how I decorated my room here at college! I grew up watching HGTV all of the time which is where my love and passion for design originally stemmed. I prefer a more neutral color palette in the home but do love to play with color as well. I think my biggest challenge with designing and decorating rooms is having the ability to wire my brain to decorate to the needs and wants of the client rather than creating a space that I personally would want for myself.
