About Kinady's Work

Ever since I was little, I've always enjoyed drawing and painting. Even though that was my passion, I somehow wanted to become a teacher when I grew up. Fast forward to middle school, I ended up being in the visual arts magnet. That changed my perspective completely. Being in a class everyday where I got to do various art projects was just a dream come true for me.

Along with doing art, I also played the violin for 5 years. Yup, that was also one of my passions. I think we can safely say that I did not have my mind made up whatsoever as far as what I wanted to do career wise when I grew up. I'm now a Sophomore in College and I still can't safely say what I want to do for the rest of my life. Of course I have an idea, but nothing straight forward.

I never was really interested in the thought of being the one BEHIND the camera. No, I don't like being the center of attention with all cameras on me, but trust, I am quick to strike a pose!

I recently took a photography class for a course credit for my major. I absolutely loved it! That changed my whole outlook on being behind the camera. I just love the concept of telling a story/getting an important message across with just one powerful photo. Being able to shoot all of the beauty in the world and make my creative ideas come to life with just the snap of a button is truly amazing. Since then, I've been trying to take my camera everywhere! I write down all of my creative photoshoot ideas, so that I can eventually make those come to life as well! Photography is truly becoming one of my passions and I know this one is here to stay (unlike the violin).

I may not fully know what I want to do as a career, but I can confidently say that it will include all medias of art...from painting, to creating advertisements, to video game design, to photography. Nothing can stop me from doing what I love. Freelancing might be the way to go, starting with getting my photography out there! This is all just the first step.
