About Us
Art While Apart is a group of 150+ artists working towards a common goal of spreading joy through free pet portraits. Founded in May 2020 by Isabel Hertz-Miñoso, Art While Apart began as a way to uplift people's spirits during the COVID-19 quarantine. Over 5 years later, we still offer pet portraits as an act of kindness during these tough times. We have also expanded to include rescue pet portraits by partnering with several rescues. Our goal is to aid in the adoption of rescue animals through exposure.
Our Mission
"Here at AWA, we're a group of digital artists working towards reminding people that, despite these tough times, there's still some sunshine. We hope to spread some joy globally and offer an outlet for artists to draw at their own pace, while also providing them a place to publicize, share, and improve upon their art. In doing this, we also aim to spark a smile in this small act of kindness."
