Welcome to Mayhem's 23rd original and creative workflow exhibition that showcases local talent from the the DMV area. With each piece being abstract, this allows the public to have an open interpretation on the imgery they seen in front of them. We as people choose to select different aspects of a message to focus our attention based on what interests us, what is familiar to us, or what we consider important. Overall, a interpretation tells us more about the artwork than they tell about the interpreter. Coming into the space with a open-mind means welcoming new ideas, arguments, and even information that you typically do not align with. Open-mindedness is cosidered to be a very positive character quality and it enables those who use it in this space to think critically and rationally.
