ABOUT ME
I'm Shannon and I'm a Junior studying Graphic Design at Towson University. Outside of class I spend most of my time creating art, listening to music, and hanging out with my favorite people. My current favorite artists to listen to are Big Thief, Alice Phoebe Lou, Adrianne Lenker, Summer Salt, Kero Kero Bonito, Kishi Bashi, The Nude Party, Mapache, and Sierra Ferrell. I find that music is my most consistent source of inspiration when it comes to my art making process. I find so much joy in analyzing the lyrics to the songs by my favorite artists and attempting to create something inspired by them.
Animals by Big Thief is one of my favorites!
Velvet Mood by Alice Phoebe Lou is also a good listen.
I also love making art related to the natural world, cooking, and dolls. I've made a few zines within the past year featuring some of my own recipes and some other food stops around Baltimore. In addition to my classes I'll be working 2 jobs on campus and will hopefully be designing some things for the National Museum of Dentistry!
