Growing up, my favorite hobby was creating artwork on my free-time, but nowadays, it feels more like a job. That is not necessarily a bad thing – I love creating art. However, it's not the first thing I rather do when I leave school or work; nor is it my favorite thing to do. Since I am pursuing art, I get to create art all day. I create art in both school and work, so there are many times when I just need a break. I am also getting older, so it shouldn't be very surprising that my choice of hobbies have changed over time. Nowadays, my favorite hobby is spending quality time with my family, which includes my soon-to-be fiance and dog.
Although we do not have any children, my dog Nola seems to be our child-like pet who has began our "family." As odd as it sounds, Nola is also one of my best friends. She doesn't judge me. She is trustworthy. She is always happy and always brings me joy. She takes my stress away. She is also even funny, believe it or not. Spending time with my family includes hanging out at dog parks together, chasing my dog outside and sharing her toys, going out for ice cream, visiting dog-friendly restaurants, and even relaxing at home and wrestling each other or just watching a movie as we are all cuddled together. Doing activities with our small family is something I look forward to every day. They are they only people I want to see after a long, stressful day. Doing anything with them is my favorite hobby – even if it's taking a nap together. I wouldn't trade this hobby for anything else.
