Rose Hobbs

My name is Rose Hobbs! I'm a Graphic Designer finishing up my BFA at Towson University. I was born and raised in Maryland, but almost all of my family live out West in Portland, OR and Los Angeles, CA. In my free time, I enjoy designing for fun and playing video games. Some games I love are Minecraft and Animal Crossing. I used to play Valorant competitively, but these days I’m more into games where designing is a big element. Who would have thought!

I currently live with my partner, Jeffrey, and our 4 cats, Kiwi, Thorn, Tiny, and Winston . I like to collect little trinkets and figures and really "maximalize" my life. I used to be pretty minimalist in how I approached design and my space, but I think capitalism's influence has changed my brain chemistry. I love to surround myself with things I love.

Jessica Walsh is a pretty big influence for me. I often think about her take on design and play— design should be fun, engaging, and something you actually enjoy making. I feel like my best work happens when I’m having fun putting it together. Here are some of those works, and you can see more on my personal website.
