Whatisnet.art?

“Internet art is art that is made on and for the internet, also known as net art. It encompasses various sub-genres of computer-based art including browser art and software art"Tate.org.

Net.history

Net art started in the early 90s, around the same time as the internet was born. As the internet expanded, artists sought to find new ways to break away from the traditional mediums and progress towards an unknown coding form; this would become what is known as net art. Artsy.net states that “Net art includes a wide range of works created by artists using web browsers, developer codes, scripts, search engines, and various other online tools (Artsy.net.)"

ASCII Art

ASCII, standing for American Standard Code for Information Interchange, is a form of net art that uses coding to create images. It’s a form of graphic design arriving around the same time net.art did. Here’s an image of a fish in ASCII style!

Opinion of Internet Art

Net art is a way for people who are logical to be creative. Instead of inputting code for an expected outcome, they can use the code knowledge that they know to make their own outcome. I like it and it is a form of art, considering it is creative and not everyone can be good at it.
