The preparations are endless, from something as simple as baked potatoes with olive oil and salt, to more traditional dishes such as a delicious potato ajiaco, stuffed potato, native potato cake, among others. Let's learn that the tumbay potato is perfect for steaming, or the yellow potato is the one that should be used to make cause, the Peruvian potato works very well for stewing and salad but not for frying. Little by little we are going to become demanding enough to always choose potatoes whose origin is local. And why is this important? Because with this we contribute to the development of Peruvians who are dedicated to their cultivation, we get used to consuming local products, we value their origin, we learn from their varieties and their uses, so that our dishes are tastier. And so our food chain: producer, buyer, cook and consumer grows strongly.
