Undergraduate Advising for IT Majors - Fall 2024 for Spring 2025

Towson's advising program is designed to help you navigate through your academic career and help you prepare to leave Towson to pursue a career or additional edcuation.

Each semester, the university will place an advising hold on your account. You may have other holds placed on your account as well. To check if you have a hold(s), login in to Online Services (PeopleSoft) and check Dashboard / General / Holds.

If you have an advising hold, you will not be able to register for the next semester until that hold is released. I will not release that hold if you do not participate in the advising process.   If you do not have an advising hold, you are not required to have an advising session, however, I am still available for advising if you so desire. If you will be graduating / will not be enrolling next semester, you do not need to participate in advising!

The CIS Advising Hub located in YR207 is available to assist you with many of your advising questions.  The Hub is your first point of contact with advising questions and for help to get started completing your Decgree Completion Plan (DCP)Review your DCP with the Hub BEFORE sending to me!  The CIS Advising Hub is available as follows:

Your degree requirements are based on when you began attending Towson University and when you declared your major.  Your official catalog year can be found on your Academic Requirements report in Online Services (PeopleSoft).

January 2025 registration has already started (you can enroll anytime).  The first day for Spring 2025 registration is Tuesday, November 12th.

Your actual registration date will vary based on your student status (number of credits completed, etc.)  Your actual registration time (enrollment appointment) can be found in
Online Services (PeopleSoft).  To avoid delays in registration, send me your Registration Proposal (listing what classes you propose to take next semester) well in advance of your enrollment appointment (follow steps below).
