Our Mission

Cosmetic Connections is a non-profit community-driven organization that bridges the gap between beauty and generosity. We collect new and gently used makeup products to distribute to homeless shelters across the country because everyone deserves to feel beautiful.

We are also committed to combating overconsumption in cosmetics. Every year, billions of beauty products get thrown away and end up in landfills. Large beauty retail companies push products that consumers feel pressured to buy, leading to purchases that go unused if bought in excess. Influences get sent 'public relations' packages with much more makeup than they can use, brands often including their entire shade range. On this website you can have an outlet to clean up your makeup collection and give products a new chance for use with people who need them. Reaching out to shelters and partnered organizations, Cosmetic Connections has made an impact on communities.

Demand for helping unhoused individuals has never been higher as this country faces economic uncertainty. In 2024, homeless response workers served more than 1.1 million people in need, a 12% increase from 2023. Adding a cosmetic donation or messaging our team to arrange volunteer work with us would be a huge help to your community and would spread our message of empathy and sustainability, things we could all use in times like these.
