Experience Sunshine

The Woodmoor Macchiato was a package design project for my illustration (ART373) class in the spring semester of 2022. The assignment was to create a drink based on a childhood experience. Woodmoor Macchioto is based on a location outside of my high school where I'd hang out with my friends after classes, I'd usually get a caramel macchiato from Starbucks and to this day I am reminded of my time in high school when I taste that drink. The design was meant to capture the feeling of the Woodmoor shopping center which has an iconic red sign on top of it. I also incoroprated the drink itself into the design by using a clear plastic can for my mockup, the illustration lies on top of the can and the drink can be seen through it. I wanted to capture the warmth of a summer day in my design and incorporate the interesting fluidity of a macchiato into the sunset in the background.
