Welcome to my web page. My name is Bill
Sadera. I am currently professor of Instructional Technology in the
Department of Educational Technology and Literacy in the College of Education at Towson University. I also serve as the Director of the
Doctoral
Program in Instructional Technology. I have been at Towson
for more than ten years now, and enjoy working with my colleagues and
students.
I spend my time at Towson,
teaching classes, working with doctoral students and leading grants and research projects. I
teach several classes in the Towson University Instructional Technology
program, including: Utilization of Instructional Media (ISTC 301), Foundations of Instructional Technology
(ISTC 541), Distance Education: Theory and Practice (ISTC 717),
Critical Perspectives of Technology in Education (ISTC 715),
Advanced Integration of Digital Resources (ISTC 731) and
Research Foundations of Instructional Technology (ISTC 741) among
others. Please visit the classes page
for more specific information about each of courses I have taught.
My research agenda focuses on two specific lines of
work: effective online instruction and teacher technology
preparation. I have written journal articles and book chapters on
these subjects and have presented at National and International
Conferences. Please visit the research area for a selection of
recent work.
